Grimsby was the first Town Deal to be awarded £25million to regenerate the area. In addition to continued lobbying for the town in parliament, I will be working alongside North East Lincolnshire Council in order to assist, where possible, the development of proposals for Grimsby.
The aim of the Government's 'Towns Fund' is to 'level up' towns and cities by allowing the sustainable regeneration of targeted areas. Being a part of this fund has allowed Grimsby to apply for the £25M funding, which is steered by the Greater Grimsby Board.
