Statement about the Industrial Action by Activo Employees

I was contacted by a union representative on 11th January 2022 informing me that they and their members were in dispute with Actavo, and said, “Continuous strike action by our members commenced on 4th October 2021 and ran up until Christmas and further action is likely.”

Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove Visit to Grimsby

The Secretary of State visited Grimsby on Monday 31 January. He visited local business owners Liz Parry of PAL restaurant/bar and Chris Cadle from the Bike Stable. He discussed the renovation of St James House with Mark Webb, MD of eFactor.

Park Ward By-election

I was pleased to take part in the launch of the Park Ward by-election campaign recently, spending some time distributing leaflets and talking to residents together with our candidate Marian Boyd, who is a Park Ward resident.

Gleeson Homes’ Macaulay Park development

It was a pleasure to visit Gleeson Homes’ Macaulay Park development off Cromwell Road.  It’s a brown field site, so a reuse of previously used land and  is a great location near to the swimming pool and local shops on the Willows estate, and within easy reach of the town centre.
